Brin Petersen

Brin has had an enthusiasm for music since receiving the gift of a Jr. Zither as a young child and learning “La Cucaracha”. His path has followed a steady devolution, from playing cello in youth orchestras, to aping the chord patterns and guitar solos of of his musical betters, and on to performing his own bizarre attempts to write rock, blues, and what the kids used to call “alternative”.

Some time after the turn of the century, the entry of a mandolin into his life led him to that truly degraded form of music known as bluegrass. For five years or so he has been a member of the Moss Piglets, and contributed to their 2015 release, Liar's Waltz. In 2016 he also joined up with the Double Down Daredevils, making it clear that he has no intention of giving up this foolishness anytime soon.
